Crystal Mascarenas

Background:
Crystal Mascarenas graduated in 2000 with a BA in Art from Adams State College. She is a multimedia artist that continues to find new media to incorporate into her already diverse repertoire. Self-portraiture is used as a starting point for her non-functional works. The rotating potters and spinning wheels frequently define the functional works that her hands continually mold. Crystal is active in the art community in the valley and is one of the founding members of the Art Thing as well as the SLV Folk Arts and Fiber Festival.
